Verdict

Quant Data is browser and mobile software for watching US options order flow and related market-structure analytics. Official pages at quantdata.us describe officially licensed real-time and historical market data directly from the exchanges, options order flow across U.S. exchanges, dealer positioning / heat-map tools, dark-pool levels and prints, alerts, custom pages, and web plus iOS / Android apps. A separate developer API and MCP product is marketed on quantdata.us/api.

Public homepage Standard pricing cards showed Monthly at $74.99 a month (“Billed monthly. Cancel anytime.”) and Annual at $62.50 a month (“Billed annually. Cancel anytime.”) with ribbon “Save $150.” Both cards carry badge “7-day free trial,” label “Non-professionals only,” and “Personal use only. Not for external redistribution.” Homepage also states “Get 7 days free” and “Starting at $62.50 a month. Cancel anytime.” Pay Standard when you want the dashboard feature surface on those cards. Skip if you need enterprise redistribution or a verified Professional-plan dollar figure (Professional price is behind a login wall; see pricing section).

This is a directory listing of analysis software, not a brokerage, not a signal service, and not a source of investment advice. Official terms SEC Disclaimer (section 14) states material “is not to be regarded as investment advice, but for general informational purposes only”; “We cannot guarantee profits or freedom from loss”; Quant Data LLC and its people are “NOT registered as securities broker-dealers or investment advisors” with the SEC or any state authority; “Quant Data LLC does not manage client assets in any way”; “Past results are not indicative of future returns.” Site-wide footer: “Not Investment Advice, See Terms for Details.” Public pages we reviewed describe a market-data platform, not account opening, order routing, brokerage connection, or execution. The only use of “routed” on official pages is analytical (“understand where flow is being routed”). Whether the product can send orders to a broker is verified negative on official pages. Do not treat this page as a how-to for placing trades.

We are not saying Quant Data is the best flow tool, the best exposure dashboard, or the best purchase. We are not saying it will make a strategy profitable. Options flow is a research input, never a trade signal or a pick.

Best for

  • Scan unusual options flow with a trial on-ramp first. Homepage cards list real-time and historical options order flow; feature copy describes “Real-time options order flow across all U.S. exchanges” with consolidated blocks / splits / sweeps plus unconsolidated trade-by-trade views, sortable / filterable, live and historical. Treat prints as research inputs, not signals to copy.
  • Dealer exposure and heat maps on the same seat. Official labels: “Options Exposure” (dealer positioning across strikes and expirations, including Delta, Gamma, Vanna, and Charm exposure; real-time or historical snapshots); “Options Heat Map” (30+ metrics including GEX, DEX, VEX, and CHEX across strikes and expirations; snapshots, filters, “alerting for key level shifts”). GEX / DEX / VEX / CHEX acronym expansions are not defined on quantdata.us itself: they appear on app-store listings linked from llms.txt and in internal API enum names (NET_GAMMA_EXPOSURE, NET_DELTA_EXPOSURE, NET_VANNA_EXPOSURE, NET_CHARM_EXPOSURE). If you use expansions here, treat those surfaces as the source, not the main site’s definitions.
  • Dark pool, volatility suite, and named insight blocks. Pricing-card labels: dark pool levels, prints, and notable flow; volatility suite, open interest, and max pain; drag-and-drop layouts with 30+ trading tools. Named tools on official pages include Net Drift, Interval Map, Volatility Drift, Net Flow, Dark Flow, Gainers & Losers, Market Map, News, Stock Price / Time, and Volatility Skew. Official docs use-case card “Scan for unusual activity”: we do not call any feature a “scanner” or “screener” as if that were the product label.
  • Mobile plus web with cross-platform sync. Vendor claims web dashboard plus iOS and Android apps with “the full dashboard feature surface” and “same data and feature set” on mobile, with cross-platform sync of layouts, filters, alerts, and themes. iOS v3.0.9 (Jul 19), Android updated Jul 18 2026. Biometric sign-in and push alerts on mobile. App Store listing alert types: drift crosses, heat map MVC shifts and proximity, and new consolidated flow events, with configurable throttle intervals.
  • Quant IQ in-dashboard assistant (beta). Vendor states Quant IQ can configure tools, build filters, and summarize dashboard data; it is a beta feature and responses “may be inaccurate or mischaracterize data” and “do not constitute investment, financial, or trading advice.”

That is a fit for traders who want to watch unusual prints and exposure context as research inputs before they send an order somewhere else. It is not a claim that watching the tape improves results.

Skip if

  • You want Quant Data to be the broker. This is not a broker comparison. Official pages self-describe as “a market-data platform for US options and equities.” No broker integration of any nationality is named anywhere. Order entry, routing, and execution are verified negative on official pages.
  • You want stock picks, alerts-as-advice, or a ranked “best trade.” Terms SEC Disclaimer and footer disclaim investment advice. Quant IQ beta copy repeats that responses are not investment advice. Homepage testimonials are vendor-selected Discord quotes with explicit profit claims (for example “Just finished my best month ever, +$16k”): if mentioned at all, treat them as vendor-selected and unverifiable, not evidence.
  • You assumed a permanent free delayed dashboard. No permanent free tier is displayed. The vendor states it is not a fit for “a free data source.” The ONLY delayed data described anywhere is a 15-minute delayed feed to third-party Discord servers via their bot (Terms section 18): that delay does not apply to the dashboard, apps, or API. Do not misattribute it.
  • You need verified Professional-plan dollars without logging in. A Professional plan exists for “professionally registered traders,” described as “Same data and feature surface as Standard” (llms.txt), but its price is behind a login wall and is unverified on public pages.
  • You need the API seat on the Standard dashboard plan. API + MCP is a separate product at quantdata.us/api: $149.99 a month monthly, $124.99 a month billed annually, ribbon “Save $300,” annual total $1,499.99 a year per llms.txt. The API plan has no free trial (Standard and Professional do). Enterprise: “Need to distribute the data, or want a custom solution? Contact us for enterprise pricing.”
  • Your primary job is charting equities or drawing a payoff diagram. Official pages list analytics blocks, but those are extras next to a flow-and-exposure product. Charting belongs on chart and screen stocks and on the TradingView listing. Payoff diagrams belong on visualize an options payoff and on the OptionStrat listing.
  • You need Canadian-listed options chains or a named Canadian broker integration. Official coverage statements say US options and equities only (see Canada note). No Canadian broker is named anywhere.

Also on official pages:

  • Annual total conflict (disclosed, not resolved). llms.txt states the annual total is $749.99 a year (consistent with $62.50 × 12 and the “Save $150” ribbon). Apple’s in-app purchase list at apps.apple.com/us/app/quant-data/id1602108613 shows $799.99 a year. Present both: web / llms.txt figure vs App Store channel: the App Store channel appears to cost about $50 a year more. The homepage never displays a yearly total at all. Web checkout is behind login, so the actually-charged annual figure on web could not be observed here.
  • Professional plan. Exists for “professionally registered traders”; “Same data and feature surface as Standard” per llms.txt. Price behind login: unverified. Quant Data does not publish Professional dollars on public pages.
  • Separate API + MCP product (quantdata.us/api): $149.99 a month monthly; $124.99 a month billed annually; ribbon “Save $300”; $1,499.99 a year per llms.txt. No free trial on API. Enterprise contact for custom / redistribution needs.
  • Trial conversion. Terms: “If you are under a trial period, you will be billed at the end of your trial unless cancelled.” Whether a payment card is required to start the 7-day trial is unverified: registration collects name, username, email, and password; checkout is behind that wall.
  • Cancel. Terms: self-serve “through the account info page.”
  • Refunds. Terms section 28: “Refunds are not to be issued”; “All sales are final”; “All sales are non-refundable.” Terms also state “Pricing rates for monthly subscription plans can be altered by Quant Data LLC at any given time.”
  • Payments. Terms section 1: payments “handled through PayPal Inc.,” alongside Apple / Google in-app purchases.

Pros and cons

Sourced from the official pages listed under Verified features. We do not invent partner-program payout rules.

Pros

  • 7-day free trial on Standard (monthly and annual cards) into a dashboard built around live US options order flow plus exposure / heat-map tooling on the same cards.
  • Annual card shows $62.50 a month with “Save $150” ribbon; monthly $74.99 a month, both with cancel-anytime language on the homepage cards we captured.
  • Web plus iOS / Android with vendor-stated full feature parity and cross-platform sync of layouts, filters, alerts, and themes.
  • Separate API + MCP product for developers (30 endpoints, 365+ day lookback on API plan, native MCP server at api.quantdata.us/mcp), distinct from the dashboard Standard seat.
  • Refund and trial-billing rules are stated clearly in Terms (all sales final; trial converts unless cancelled).

Cons

  • No permanent free delayed dashboard tier on public cards, trial into paid only; vendor says it is not a fit for “a free data source.”
  • $749.99 a year (llms.txt) vs $799.99 a year (Apple App Store) annual conflict: homepage shows no yearly total; web checkout charge unverified.
  • Professional plan price unverified (login wall). API plan has no free trial.
  • Not a broker, verified negative for order routing / execution on official pages. Terms SEC Disclaimer and “AS IS” / “AS AVAILABLE” language (sections 12–13).
  • No refunds after charge (Terms 28). Personal use only; reselling prohibited.
  • Numeric dashboard latency / refresh interval unverified despite “real-time” marketing. Dark pool / equity print delay figure unverified on dashboard. Historical depth for dashboard (365+ day lookback stated for API plan only). Whether “30+ trading tools” matches a countable list is unverified (marketing names ~13 tools; API exposes 30 endpoints).
  • Canadian-listed options / TSX equity / CDR support unverified; Canadian venue codes in API enum are taxonomy, not a coverage claim. No Canadian broker integrations named.
  • Quant IQ is beta with explicit inaccuracy disclaimer. Google Play shows 3.6 stars from 26 reviews vs vendor full-parity claim, store reviews include Jul 28 2026 friction on mobile despite vendor parity language.

On Unusual Whales and Cheddar Flow, flow is the job with neighboring modules. On Tradytics, official competitor copy positions a broader retail toolkit next to live flow. On Quant Data, official homepage pairs order flow with exposure and heat-map tooling on the same paid dashboard. For a dedicated two-way split with Unusual Whales, see Quant Data vs Unusual Whales (pricing, trial, and free-delayed fit). For the four-way trader split, see Unusual Whales vs Cheddar Flow vs Tradytics vs Quant Data. For neighboring flow listings (not a ranking), see Quant Data alternatives. None of those rows is a recommendation to switch, and none is a claim that Quant Data wins the job.

Canada note

This directory is written with readers in Canada as well as the United States.

US options and equities per vendor; Canadian-listed coverage unverified. Official pages state twice that non-US markets are out of scope: “It is not the right tool for cryptocurrency, forex, or non-US markets” and FAQ limiting coverage to US options and equities market-structure data. We did not find an official page stating that Canadian-listed options (TSX equities, Montréal Exchange options, CDRs, and similar) are supported.

API exchange enum vs coverage claim. The API “Exchange List” enum, a Nanex-coded exchange-venue taxonomy of 76 values, contains legacy codes “TSE - Toronto Stock Exchange,” “CDNX - Canadian Venture Exchange,” and “TSIX - TSX Indexes,” alongside plainly out-of-scope entries like LSE, Eurex, Euronext, and LME. That is a field-value taxonomy list, not a coverage claim. Whether those Canadian venue codes are ever populated is unverified (would need a paid API key). Do not overstate in either direction.

Canadian broker compatibility. We found no official Quant Data page that lists Canadian brokers, Questrade, Wealthsimple, TD Direct Investing, or Interactive Brokers Canada as integrated execution partners. Any claim that Quant Data “works with” a named Canadian broker would be invented. Compatibility with a specific Canadian broker is unverified. Because the public product is analysis software, many people use a flow tape in one browser tab and a broker in another, that workflow is a description of two separate products, not a verified integration.

Purchasing from Canada. Vendor serves global users; API page shows “75+ Countries”; pricing is in US dollars; no CAD pricing or cross-border-fee note on official pages we captured.

Currency (CAD vs USD), registered-account constraints (TFSA, RRSP), and Canadian tax treatment of options are outside this review.

FAQ

Is Quant Data free?

What does Quant Data cost?
Quant Data (QuantData) Standard pricing on the homepage cards: $74.99 a month billed monthly, or $62.50 a month billed yearly. The vendor’s llms.txt lists the annual total as $749.99 a year. Apple’s App Store showed $799.99 a year. Both are disclosed here. Both cards carry a 7-day free trial badge. The Professional plan price sits behind a login wall, so it is unverified on public pages. A separate API and MCP product is $149.99 a month or $124.99 a month billed yearly, with no free trial. Confirm on quantdata.us before you pay.
Is the free trial enough?
Yes for opening the live dashboard during the trial window. Homepage cards show a 7-day free trial on both Monthly and Annual Standard plans. That is not a permanent free delayed tier. After the trial, Standard is $74.99 a month or $62.50 a month billed yearly. Whether a payment card is required to start the trial is unverified. Registration collects name, username, email, and password, and checkout is behind login. Terms say you will be billed at the end of the trial unless you cancel.
Does it work in Canada?
Unverified for Canadian-listed coverage. You can open Quant Data from Canada as browser software. The vendor serves global users. The API page shows a “75+ Countries” counter. Pricing is in US dollars. No CAD pricing or FX or cross-border-fee note appears on official pages. Official coverage statements say US options and equities only, twice: “It is not the right tool for cryptocurrency, forex, or non-US markets” and FAQ “Quant Data covers US options and equities market-structure data only. It does not provide cryptocurrency, forex, non-US markets, or company fundamentals.” Canadian-listed options (TSX equities, Montréal Exchange options, CDRs, and similar) are unverified. We found no official page that lists Canadian brokers, Questrade, Wealthsimple, TD Direct Investing, or Interactive Brokers Canada as integrated execution partners. Named Canadian-broker integrations are unverified. Do not infer them. Currency (CAD vs USD), registered-account constraints (TFSA, RRSP), and Canadian tax treatment of options are outside this review.
Do I need a broker?
No. Quant Data is not a broker. Watching flow, opening exposure panels, and setting alerts do not require a connected broker. Quant Data is not listed here as a broker. Official terms say Quant Data LLC does not manage client assets and is not a registered investment advisor or broker-dealer. Order routing and execution are verified negative on official pages we reviewed. Do not treat this page as a how-to for placing trades.
