Find Trading Tools

Find the right trading tool for the job.

By Last checked

What this site is

A static, curated directory of stock-trading and options-trading software. Each tool is matched to a job — visualize a payoff, scan unusual flow, chart and screen stocks — so you can find software that fits the work, not a personality ranking.

Find Trading Tools is free to use, needs no account, and has no paid tier; some reviews use affiliate links, and those pages say so.

What this site is not

  • Not stock picks.
  • Not a broker comparison. Brokers are listed as stubs and flagged as brokers; we do not rank them.
  • Not financial advice, not a registered adviser, and not a signal service.
  • Not a claim that any tool will make you money, beat the market, or unlock an edge.

How we pick

Fit for the job. We ask whether the public product does the software task on the page. We do not score historical strategy performance. We do not rank a tool number one because a commission would be higher. Where a listing has a tracked affiliate URL, the page discloses that we may earn a commission. Other links go to official homepages.

If we lack a fact — a price, a Canadian-broker integration, a feature that is only rumored — we write unverified. We do not guess.

Canada

Readers in Canada are part of the audience. Many options tools are built around US-listed underlyings and OPRA data. Where a review cannot source Canadian-listed coverage or a named Canadian broker integration, it says so. Do not infer compatibility.

Imported from the InvestorStack public sitemap and named roundups, plus five software names we already listed (ORATS, OptionsPlay, Option Alpha, Cheddar Flow, InsiderFinance). OptionStrat, TradingView, Unusual Whales, Cheddar Flow, Option Samurai, InsiderFinance, Finviz, TrendSpider, Thinkorswim, tastytrade, tastylive, Wealthsimple, Interactive Brokers, Questrade, Moomoo, Webull, Trade Ideas, Koyfin, Options Profit Calculator, CallPutHub, Tradytics, Quant Data, Market Chameleon, FlowAlgo, MoveSurge, Bullflow, SpotGamma, BlackBoxStocks, Bookmap, MenthorQ, Options Matrix Pro, Pure Power Picks, Profit Builders, GuruFocus, ORATS, Option Alpha, OptionsPlay, Barchart, Seeking Alpha, Benzinga Pro, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo Finance Plus, MarketWatch, TipRanks, MyTradeLens, AlphaYou, and Motley Fool are among the full reviews; the rest are honest stubs. For unusual options flow, see the job comparisonUnusual Whales vs Cheddar Flow vs Tradytics vs Quant Data— a trader split, not a ranking — andQuant Data vs Unusual Whalesfor the Quant Data / Unusual Whales Keep / Gain / Lose pair,Cheddar Flow vs Unusual Whalesfor the dedicated Cheddar two-way pair, plusCheddar Flow vs FlowAlgofor the FlowAlgo tape split. For payoff diagram vs flow tape, see OptionStrat vs Unusual Whales — two jobs, not a ranking. For charting and screening, seeTradingView vs Thinkorswim vs TrendSpider— software seats vs a Schwab brokerage platform, not a ranking. Two roundup-only education names (Yale Financial Markets, TD Ameritrade Investor Education) are omitted because we could not verify an official homepage and will not invent a domain.
