Investopedia help center (updated 2025-02-25, checked 2026-10-05): Academy no longer hosts or streams its courses; past buyers were emailed download links on June 28, 2024. No current course price verified. The separate Investopedia Stock Market Simulator is free to join and use. Confirm on the official site.
Short answer: Investopedia Academy was Investopedia’s paid course site, with self-paced video courses on investing, trading and personal finance. Investopedia says it no longer hosts or streams those courses, so there’s no catalog to browse, no course login and nothing to buy. If you bought a course before, the download link is in a June 28, 2024 email from Investopedia.
Is Investopedia Academy still open?
Not for new learning. Investopedia’s help center says: “Investopedia Academy will no longer be hosting and streaming the Academy courses.” People who had bought a course were emailed download instructions on June 28, 2024. The help article was last updated February 25, 2025, and we checked it again on October 5, 2026 (source).
This is a summary of Investopedia’s public pages. We didn’t take any Academy course ourselves.
What it was
Investopedia Academy was Investopedia’s paid course site: self-paced, pre-recorded video courses on investing, trading and personal finance. The help center names courses like Investing for Beginners and Personal Finance for Grads as examples.
What it costs
We don’t list a price. Investopedia says it no longer hosts or streams the courses, and academy.investopedia.com returned an error instead of a catalog or checkout when we checked on September 30 and October 4, 2026. Older course prices on other review sites may not apply anymore.
One thing from Investopedia is still free: the Investopedia Stock Market Simulator. Its page says it’s free to join and use, with virtual money for stocks, ETFs and options. You can buy calls and puts, but it doesn’t support writing options (checked September 30, 2026).
